Play Pac-Man for Free

Pac-Man is the classic arcade game that is still loved by millions around the world. It is the quintessential old school video game, and is considered an icon of 80s pop culture. Pac-Man was the first popular arcade game to deviate from the Space Invaders and Pong style genres, and to appeal to girls as well as boys. The unique maze and chase elements created a broad interest, leading Pac-Man Fever to spread across the globe.
The goal of this game is to guide Pac-Man through a maze while avoiding his enemies, the ghosts. He must eat all of the dots within the maze in order to advance to the next level. There are also four large dots within the maze. If Pac-Man eats one of these, the tables are turned for a few seconds and Pac-Man is able to eat the ghosts. Be careful, though – once the ghosts start blinking, your time will be up and the ghosts will be back after you. From time to time bonus items will appear in the maze, things like cherries and keys, which will give you extra points. As you clear each maze, you’ll reach newer and tougher levels. Don’t be fooled by this game’s simple appearance; even though generations of more complex video games have come and gone, Pac-Man remains a fun and challenging experience! Sudoku is the number puzzle that has taken the world by storm. The name Sudoku is from the Japanese meaning “single number,” however the puzzle was actually invented by an American architect and was originally called “Number Place”. After becoming popular in Japan it was reintroduced to the United States with its new moniker, and has been a hit ever since.

A Sudoku puzzle is made up of a 9 by 9 grid of squares, so that there are 9 large squares containing 9 small squares each. The object of the puzzle is to place the numbers 1 through 9 so that each number appears exactly once in every row, column, and large square. This also means that no number can be repeated in any row, column, or large square.
Solving a Sudoku puzzle takes a lot of thought and a little strategy! To figure out which numbers to place in which squares, you have to find places where only one number would be logical. Scanning, comparing, analyzing, trial-and-error, and the process of elimination must work together to find the solution. Sudoku is the perfect pursuit for those seeking an engaging and challenging puzzle!
Play Solitaire for Free
March 13, 2008
Some call it Klondike, some call it Patience, but most call it Solitaire, thanks to the popularity of the Windows version of this single-player card game. This classic game has been a solo past-time since the mid 1700s, but has become a worldwide favorite since computer operating systems started including Solitaire in their repertoire.
The goal of Solitaire is to arrange a 52-card deck (without Jokers) into suits from pre-arranged piles. There are variations on the rules from version to version, but the general game play is the same: seven piles are laid out, face down except for the top card. Each pile has a different number of cards, from one to seven as you move left to right. The left over cards (the deck) are turned over either three or one at a time to help fill in needed cards. Four foundations are reserved above the piles – this is where the suits will be arranged, starting with the Aces and moving up numerically, ending with the Kings. The tricky part is with the piles – instead of placing cards on top of each other by suit, you have to arrange them by alternate colors. For example, if an 8 of either black suit is face up on a pile, then a 7 of either red suit may be played on it. The game is won when all of the cards are arranged on the four foundations by suit.
The popularity and longevity of Solitaire can be attributed simply to how easy it is to learn and how fun it is to play. There are a seemingly infinite number of ways the cards can be dealt, and how you play each card determines how far you’ll be able to go. Slight variations in the rules and how to keep score also make this a great game; you can make it really simple just for fun or really strict for an even greater challenge! Bejeweled 2 is the fun, challenging, spellbinding game. Your objective is to line up 3 or more of the same-colored jewels, causing them to disappear, and every time you reach a goal you advance to the next level. The great part about this game is that there are three modes of play: Classic, Action, and Puzzle, and they each have their own goals. Classic mode is untimed, so you can take it at your own pace, making gems disappear while being careful not to run out of moves. Action mode is a little more adventurous. Your game is timed, so you have to find matches fast! As long as you can get enough gems to disappear in time, you’ll be able to advance. The final mode, Puzzle, is for those who want a bit of an intellectual challenge. Your goal here is to make every gem disappear by making moves in the right sequence.
